We would like to thank the community for participating in Brinca's 2nd Picnic, as well as all the volunteers and those who contributed in some way to make this event a reality!

It was great to see so many people united for this important cause of welcoming, gathering, and bringing joy to our Brazilian community in Ottawa and Gatineau! The rain disrupted our plans a bit, and we had to turn off the sound equipment, but despite the setbacks, the party didn't stop, and the musicians from the Samba Circle still managed to uplift everyone with their ever-present joy!
Additionally, we had 3 sensational performances in the talent show: - The young and talented Helena, who captivated everyone with her voice and charisma, securing her place among the new generation of Brazilian musicians in the community. - Danilo Furlani treated us to some of his beautiful compositions accompanied by his guitar. - Marcelo Montenegro, a musician and drum/percussion teacher, also put on a show with his enthusiasm and energy on stage!
The Funrro girls led a fun workshop teaching everyone to move their bodies and dance with love and joy, and the children looked even more beautiful with the fantastic artistic face paintings!
Last but not least, we honored our volunteer and director Vilma Firmino for her exceptional commitment and dedication to all of Brinca's projects.
